After a long night of boozing in the city, most people tend to call it a night around 3 or 4 in the morning. However, if you want to push your partying on into the next day instead of throwing in the towel, then Lime’s weekend brunches are definitely for you. Here’s a quick breakdown of why you totally need to be there.
Non-stop Club Atmosphere
The interior is like a Virgin America flight with cheaper drinks and fewer children: 60’s-chic décor, smartly dressed wait staff, and a chill club mix. Your first instinct will be to look for a bouncer and ask which DJ is spinning. Be warned: the music is pretty loud, so don’t expect to hear most of what people are saying to you.
Long Lines = Mingling Opportunities
Lime’s brunches are notorious for waits of up to an hour (reservation or no), so rather than sulk, head to the lounge, order some drinks, and start chatting your fellow brunchers. Most will still be dressed in short skirts and expensive button downs from the night before.
Finger Food that Actually Fills
The menu is based around the concept that forks are lame, and eating with your hands is rad. From mini cheeseburgers to fruit samplers to grilled cheese, the dishes are designed to be split amongst friends (whether you came with them or met them while waiting in line).
GetWize: The $7 bottomless Mimosas are a fantastic deal, but the “bottomless” part doesn’t actually start until you are seated. If you’re drinking in the lounge before you start eating, be prepared to pay $2/glass for refills. Lime is located at 2247 Market between Noe and Sanchez.
