How did summer get past us so fast? Every year you wonder, and every year it just seems to go faster and faster like a flash of afternoon sunlight. But, at least there’s a place for you to forget your future, chillier troubles and let a little sunlight shine down on you. Little Radio is hosting four more weeks of sunny Sundays, poolside. Two weeks ago Little Radio had an above ground pool installed by a little dive bar in Downtown LA. Ever since then, hipsters, indie kids, the occasional hippie, some rich people, some famous people, and a good amount of decent, normal, happy Los Angelenos have flocked to a once empty street (probably familiar to you if you’ve been to a D’town warehouse party) to let their cars rest for a few hours as they relax, drink beer, listen to music, dance and eat some Wurstküche!

GetWize: Summercamp is located at 2017 E Seventh St Downtown LA for the next four Sundays (8/30, 9/6, 9/13, and 9/20). It starts at noon and ends at 6:00 p.m., but no one in LA wants to get anywhere before 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday, so sleep in, get there around one, start drinking and hang out for the dance party that usually ensues after everyone is drunk and keeps the party going past six. It costs $10 but it’s worth an afternoon of wet drunkenness and pretty good looking LA ruffians. And after you drink, swim and dance yourself into a hunger get a $6 sausage (trust us, it’s worth it!) from the Wurstküche stand.
