LA Beer Week

LA’s beer scene has been going crazy lately with new breweries, gastropubs, and craft-beer bars opening on a near-weekly basis. One result of the beer-volution is that there are more and more events like LA Beer Week, a two-week celebration of the diversity of the Southland’s local beer culture. Another result is that we’re drinking more than normal, but that’s our problem, not yours.

Now in its third year, LA Beer week is a massive, multi-venue bash during which a ton of brew-houses, bars, and restaurants from LA to Orange County will be serving special beer pairings, holding tasting events, and more. The Kick-Off party will be going down on at Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach on October 10th. Hosted by Stone Brewing Company, the event will feature over 40 Stone Brews on tap, a Q&A session with brewmasters, food by Stone Catering, and more.

Stop by one of the restaurants on this list in the two weeks following kick-off for special beer pairings, tasting events, contests, and more. With all this beer, there’s no doubt it’s gonna be a full-belly kinda month, but be sure to save room for the Grand Finale, The LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Historic Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, October 23rd featuring over 70 local, regional, national, and international Craft and Artisan breweries. Yum!
