August is here and the summer is slowly working its way toward the end, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to end your fun. This month is full of some big names in music -- with a music festivals thrown in for good measure -- resulting in a ton of options for your dancing and listening pleasure. Here are a few shows you will most likely want to get excited for.
August 3rd
Rusko
All this sunshine and no dubstep? Remedy your dubless summer with Rusko, the legendary English producer who'll be performing at The Avalon this weekend in preparation for his massive residency at Rain Nightclub in Vegas. Get your tickets before it's too late and ready yourself to get real wobbly at Avalon this Friday.

August 3rd & 4th
HARD Summer Music Festival
Boys Noize, Little Dragon, Skrillex, Miike Snow, and Chromeo - just a small sampling of the line-up for this year’s HARD Summer Fest in Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown LA. This weekend’s festival is kind of like a primer for the “rest of summer” music festivals, but it is essentially in your backyard. Tickets are still available, so get on top of that, son.

August 6th
Aerosmith & Cheap Trick
Old school rockers Aerosmith and Cheap Trick are teaming up to host a concert with cajones this upcoming week and you would be the worst hipster in the world if you missed it. This show is part of their Global Warming Tour, and since lead-singer Steven Tyler is officially back with the band, you should definitely see if these old dudes can still rock at one of LA’s most iconic music venues.

August 9th
Die Antwoord
The creepiest South Africans ever are back to weird you out, this time performing in Pomona. Hip-hop ravers Die Antwoord are quickly on the rise and if you haven’t heard of them yet (seriously, get out of your cave), then acquaint yourself with one of their world famous shows -- you will most assuredly never forget it.

August 10th and 11th
Jack White
The former half of The White Stripes is taking the pop-rock scene by storm with his solo work, and is celebrating with a new tour promoting his music. Mr. White added a second date to the Shrine Theatre, proving that once again, Jack White is one of the greatest singer-songwriters of this generation.

August 11th
Griz & Paul Basic
The Do Lab is heading back to King King Hollywood this month for a bass-filled night of glitchy dubstep, moombahton and fresh house tracks. Colorado beatsmith Griz will be headlining with Paul Basic and Groundislava brining the support. If you've never heard Griz, expect a Pretty Lights meets Skrillex sound full of samples, lazers and growling bass.

Arty
Emerging trance titan Arty is grabbing some serious attention in the EDM world with his epic tracks and remixes. Anthems including 'Kate' and 'Around The World' have carved his place as one of dance music's elite - don't miss out on this special night as the man himself takes over Insomniac's Inception Saturdays at Exchange for one night only.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Nineties rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers are taking a break from the music festivals circuit to headline a tour of their own, with two massive concerts at Staples Center this August. Get ready to witness 'Californication' as it was meant to be.

August 24th
Flinch, Antiserum, The Juggernaut + Special Guest
Up and coming bass masters Flinch, Antiserum and The Juggernaut are teaming up for a wild night of grime at Avalon's Control Friday event. Heavily rinsed by Skream, Skrillex, 12th Planet and a slew of EDM's other all-stars, Flinch, Antiserum and the Juggernaut are ready to blow out speakers and rattle bones alongside a special guest DJ that's yet to be announced.
