We can all agree that San Francisco is a city that needs many things, but should another night club really be at the top of the list? It should when it’s as classy-meets-crunk as Lot 46 promises to be. With over 8,000 sq. feet, three dance floors, 3 full bars (because a single bar is so last year), double the floors for double the fun, an escalator that guarantees to be 100x more fun while swerving, and an indoor smoking room, it’s almost as if the club’s owners were trying to bring in everything that is hot for a club at the moment. Think about it: roll up and drop the standard cover, grab a drink and enjoy the freshest House/Electro beats, then take MOVING STAIRS to another floor, grab another drink, and own the dance floor to dope mashups, DJ Remedy, DJ Twin Spin or King James. Can we say hella awesome?
Lot 46 is run by veteran club master Patric Au (owner of Suede/Cat Club) who definitely knows how to cull a crowd of regulars for one of their signature weekly events. The jury is out on what the vibe will be at the club long term. The downtown location and initial event offerings suggest top 40/hip-hop and mash ups for a dolled up ready to party commuter crowd but we will just have to wait and see.
GetWize: Since Lot 46 is brand new, but if you need the 411 you can always see what people have been saying on yelp. As always, take what you see there with a grain of salt. When a club opens up you tend to see a lot of 1's and 5's.
