Oktoberfest By The Bay @ Fort Mason
There are a lot of things that we can hate on the Germans for over the years but their contribution to the drinking community certainly earns them a bit of good will over here at the MW. Oktoberfest by the Bay is 3 days of beer, lederhosen (sp?), dancing the polka and rolling out the barrel.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass @ Golden Gate Park
This event could also be called the Anti-Lovevolution. In a city this small, it is hard to think of 2 events that could each draw 75-100,000 people that could be much different. Hardly Strictly boasts a killer acoustic, folk, modern rock and yes... bluegrass line up and the people come out in droves to soak the rays and the tunes on blankets in GGP. 6 Stages of music all day both days and it is Free. Now if they could just add some bass to the music we would be all set! (I kid I kid).
