The view has changed on the way into Las Vegas with the opening of the The M Resort. The hotel and casino is a 1 billion dollar behemoth located 8.5 miles before entering the strip. The doors officially opened March 1, 2009 to very warm reception despite it's off-the-strip status. The outside is a blend of reflective and transparent glass which makes the M a truly unique destination.

The M features; a 390-room tower, 35 suites, 92,000 sq. ft. of casino area, a 60,000-sq. ft. conference room, a 23,000-sq.-ft. health spa and salon, eight restaurants, four bars, one entertainment venue, retail outlets, a 100,000-sq.-ft. pool area, a 63,000-sq.-ft. movie entertainment theater with 14 screens, and other five-star amenities.

The resort was built by Marnell Corrao Associates which is one of the most prolific architecture, general-contractor and design firms around. They have been responsible for the design and/or construction of dozens of resorts in Las Vegas. Included in their roster are: Wynn Las Vegas, Bellagio, Mirage, Caesars Palace, and the list goes on and on. The Project was partially funded by MGM / Mirage so they aren’t in this alone.

The rooms are designed to give a residential feel and are equipped with free wifi, marble floors, and 42’’ flat screen TV’s. One special feature about the casino in the M is the natural light and open air atmosphere. The gambling area features outdoor terraces in some places which is sure to revolutionize the Las Vegas gaming experience.
