The Summer Solstice, of course, converges with World Music Day. On this day, the sidewalks, courtyards, building lobbies and who knows what else of Pasadena will be converted into stages big and small for over 100 musicians both small and…medium! Two main stages, at One Colorado and Levitt Pavilion, will host the bigger international acts like Juana Molina, Quetzal, Mirah, and The Whispertown 2000, kicking out the jams all day, but make sure to peruse the alleys and corners—who knows what greatness awaits your discovery? The fest is free and surely free drinks and snacks from sponsors should be laying about, so print out a map and get lost in Pasadena.
GetWize: The free festivities take place around Pasadena on Sunday, June 21st, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Other stage locations include Pasadena Central Library, Armory Center for the Arts Stage, and Pop Champagne & Dessert Bar. Get all your info on the festival website.
