If you have a case of the Mondays, (i.e. you’re still hung over from Sunday Funday but need a place to unwind after a long Monday back at the office) Fort Mason has you covered. This event, appropriately titled, Make My Monday, has created a way to include Mondays in your drinking schedule, while also hitting on your creative side. MMM lets you peruse live art to the beat of a DJ, while holding a drink in one hand and a $2 taco in the other.

If you like going to the zoo, this event is similar, in that you can watch artists in their natural habitat as they work their magic. The only difference is that instead of watching monkeys through plate glass, artists- paint, draw, sew, and mold works of art that you can take home for less than $50. I’ll take that over a stuffed zebra at the gift shop any day! And forget screaming children. You must be 21 years or older to attend. This diverse crowd ranges from college students to retirees that keep coming back each month to see the latest up-and-coming artists.
