MetroWize Does Coachella 2009
By: Erik Lillquist 04/21/09Friday @ Coachella 2009
Ghostland Observatory rang in the night with a powerful set of long jams pop hits. NASA hit the crowd with otherworldly tunes and dancing aliens on stage. Girl Talk left us looking at each other shouting "WTF?" as he threw Metallica, Jackson 5 and Beyonce into the same rockin' tune and ended his set by surfing the crowd on his inflatable raft. The Presets came on strong with hard hitting electro dance rock showing that they deserve all the recent hype that they have been receiving. The Crystal Method killed it to end the night in the Sahara tent with a surprise visit from LMFAO who came out dressed as robots complete with a choreographed dance. And lastly, we have to hand it to Paul McCartney for playing 30 songs over the course of 2 hours and 45 minutes and a 4 song encore complete with fireworks. Helter Skelter! Check out the photos from Friday @ Coachella 2009 here.

Stay tuned for interviews from The Presets, The Crystal Method and Adam Freeland coming soon to our Los Angeles channel.
Saturday @ Coachella 2009
Nothing but sun and heat during the day in Indio so we headed off to Anthem Ranch for a little R and R by the pool. Slip and Slides, free flowing booze and rockin' beats mixed with good looking hipsters and LA socialites. A big tip of the ole hat to Anthem Magazine for throwing another top notch bender down in Indio. Check out our photos from Anthem Ranch Pool Party @ Coachella 2009 here.

Check out our Saturday Recap for a play-by-play of what we were up to on Coachella's second day.
Festival highlights from day 2 at Coachella included hot performances by DJ AM, Thievory Corporation (with a special appearance from Perry Farrell!), The Killers and Chemical Brothers. MIA struted her stuff on the main stage and showed that she can be a headliner (whether she wants to be one or not), MSTRKRFT closed out the night by tearing the roof off of the Sahara tent. Check out the photos from Saturday @ Coachella here.

Sunday @ Coachella 2009
For the second afternoon in a row, we decided to hang out by the pool. This time we hit up the Indioasis Pool Party and chilled in the shade, took full advantage of the open bar and enjoyed a surprise performance by Kid Cudi. Click here to check out the photos from Indioasis here.

Coachella 2009 ended in style with rock legend The Cure closing the festivities on the main stage. Etienne De Crecy brought down the house as the Sahara Tent finale and Flava Flav hit the Mojave Stage. Check out the photos from Sunday @ Coachella 2009 here.

Stay tuned for our recap of Sunday at Coachella!
