The 2013 festival season is upon us and it's time to start marking those calendars and making those travel plans. With literally dozens of festivals already having confirmed 2013 dates and many of them even offering their initial lineups, it's never too early to start getting excited for the biggest events of the year. This year in New Orleans, Jazz Fest brought an eclectic lineup of new school rockers, jazz legends and funky ensembles to the stage for seven days of live performances and wild celebrations. The 2012 Summer Set Music and Camping Festival arrived in late August, and the inaugural lineup was a doozy. Combining the powers of jam bands, electronic music, hip-hop, reggae, and all of the confluences that exist between these many genres, Summer Set is sure to be a shock to the system in 2013.

Perhaps the best festival East of the Mississippi, and certainly one of the biggest, Bonnaroo sees over 100,000 attendees descend on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee.
