This Train's Bound For The Hudson: Old Train Station Becomes New Eatery

What to do with a historical landmark dating back to the early 1900's? Dust it off and turn it into a restaurant, of course. West Hollywood's first train station has just reincarnated as an elite eatery. Open 11am- 2am, The Hudson starts with brunch service and moves on to lunch, happy hour, dinner, and even late night dining. The décor is reminiscent of Prohibition days with dark wood booths in the patio, exposed metal and Edison bulbs, and a railroad track just outside.

The eats are upscale new American with mouth-watering good starters like three cheese macaroni, wood grilled calamari, and entrees such as grilled pork chops with warm apple compote, mashed potatoes and cider au jus, and wood grilled Mahi with tabouli salad and mint yogurt. The Watering Hole, as they call it, features 30 plus beers, half of which are microbrews, select wines, and of course a special cocktail menu. Brunch on the weekends includes bottomless Mimosas and build your own Bloody Mary’s. Party days have arrived, Los Angeles, with The Hudson's grand opening October 22.

Get Wize: The best thing about their happy hour is the late night time slot of 11pm - 2am, Sundays through Wednesdays, featuring $3 drafts and $4 wells. Live DJs will make regular appearances at The Hudson, and a classic jukebox allows inebriated guests to impress each other on all other nights of the week. All this plus free wi-fi on the premises.
