Stephan and Julian Marley @ The Brooklyn Bowl
Reggae legends Stephan and Julian Marley take to Williamsburg’s newest hot spot night club/ bowling alley. The legendary Marley sons are in town to celebrate the release of Julian’s newest album, “Awake.” This show is sure to be the calm in this weeks musical storm, head over for some smooth reggae beats!
Ninjasonik and Theophilus London @ Le Poission Rouge
Hip-hop/ Techno greatness that is NinjaSonik will be hitting the stage at Don Pedro’s for a night of mayhem. If you haven't heard of Thophilus London at this point, open your ears. Dubbed the King of CMJ on his twitter, he's truly taking over... The music style is hip-hop dance music, pumped up and full of energy. This is going to be a great show!
Busta Rhymes and A-Trak @ BB Kings
I never thought that I’d see Busta and A-Trak performing on the same night, but it’s truly a beautiful thing. One of the biggest and most anticipated nights of CMJ 2009, this show has a crazy lineup and we’re sure neither artist will disappoint!
Wally Lopez @ The Sullivan Room
This techno Heavy hitter is coming to the Sullivan room for a late night show that will keep you movin’ all night long! Wally, a pioneer of the house music in Spain, starts his career as producer in 2000 by launching the label Weekend Records, and remixing artists such as Tiësto, Marco V, Valentino Kanzyani, Dirty Vegas, Bob Sinclar and Robbie Riviera. Many of his records are successfully published with renowned labels including Defected, Underwater, Yoshitoshi and Subliminal.
Mark Knight, Dirty South and Dave Spoon do CMJ @ Pacha NYC
Resident DJ Dave Spoon will be up to his usual antics along with some special guests for the very special week of CMJ, a sure fire dance party will take over and you’d better be there if you want to let go and get lost in the music!
Girls and Boys Presents: CMJ @ Webster Hall
The lineup seems to go on forever at Girls and Boys this week, with a wide variety of genre bending new comers that will hit the stage one after another for a more epic than usual Friday night, performances by Felix Cartal, Flithy Dukes, Mickey Facts, WallPaper, and a special late night set by Shout Out Out Out Out! (live).
Roger Sanchez @ Pacha NYC
International DJ Superstar Roger Sanchez shows Pacha NYC some love with a set on the turn tables; Sanchez has had quite a big year with two mix compilation releases and spending a lot of time in Ibiza taking on the crowds there. Roger Sanchez will be at Pacha in celebration of his own success and as a part of CMJ so head over if what you want is an electro fest of monumental proportions!
