Feria Urbana—an aptly named urban fair—takes place this Friday night accross the bridge in Oakland from 5-9pm. This bustling bazaar showcases reasonably-priced goods from local artists and designers and gives you the chance to get that unique piece of clothing or pair of earrings that will make all your friends jealous.

This bi-monthly event transforms a museum into a lively marketplace, with the Oakland Museum of California (just one block from the Lake Merritt Bart station) providing an inviting backdrop for browsing and buying. A wide range of wares are displayed, including home goods, jewelry, clothing, accessories, baby products, dining ware and ceramics.

In addition to shopping, the event promises a happy hour, live music, dancing, yoga and movies. Also, galleries of the three-tiered museum focused on the art, history, and environment of California will be open all night. All in all, the fair is a fun place to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts and a cool way to support Bay Area designers.
