Everybody knows that Live 105's Not So Silent Night is one of the biggest shows in the bay for the alternative music scene. With headliners including The Killers, Bloc Party, Death Cab for Cutie and Franz Ferdinand, this year's event looks to have similar success.

But enough about the main event. Last night, Aaron Axelsen announced on his weekly program, Soundcheck, the details for this year's NSSN Pre-Party. The party is going down at Mezzanine on December 10th and features up and coming bands including Vampire Weekend, Cold War Kids, Chairlift and bay area native Audrye Sessions. Aaron Axelsen is also scheduled to hit the decks.

The event's going to be sweet, so if you don't want to go through the hassle of getting to Oakland and fighting all the teenie boppers to get a closer look, head over to the Mezzanine the night before. It's a 21+ crowd, a smaller, more intimate venue and the bands are going to put on a good show.

Tickets run for $25 and can be purchased here at Ticketweb. The show promises to sell out so don't procrastinate, buy your tickets soon.
