Panam is the most recent restaurant/bar/lounge addition to the Castro, serving French fusion cuisine at prices that can’t be beat. This chic spot was created by executive chef, Laurent Guillaume and co-owner Mickael Azoulay. They are the dynamic duo that also brought you Chouquet’s in Pacific Heights, and Blush! Wine Bar.

Panam has a quaint and chic ambiance and is perfect for those looking to indulge themselves in exquisite food and drinks without spending a fortune on dinner. If an elegant dinner isn’t quite what you have in mind, go to the upstairs lounge and enjoy appetizers, cocktails, desserts and wine. On weekends a mouth-watering brunch is available from 10am-4pm.

You would never know by the impeccable food and outstanding presentation that most dishes run well under $20 at Panam. Critics are raving about the Frog Legs Persillade, Duck Ravioli and Smoked Trout Salad. Be sure to save room for their ornate desserts and fabulous cocktails, such as the Coco Panam (White Chocolate Mousse, Coconut Parfait) and the tantalizing Mojito fused with Champagne. Food-lovers everywhere will be pumped about the food and the price.

Get Wize: Panam, located at 2367 Market street, is open late-night! Doors are open from 5pm to 1am seven days a week. Along with a full bar and extensive international wine list, the upstairs transforms into a trendy lounge with an in-house DJ as the night progresses. This is sure to be a Castro hot spot.
