Paxti’s Pizza adds a third location to its repertoire of Windy City-style restaurants. Situated between the busy streets of Lombard and Fillmore, this eatery (named after co-owner Francisco “Paxti” Aspiroz) is within walking distance of The Matrix, Mel’s Drive-in, and Hotel Del Sol. This newest location offers the usual Paxti’s staples: Chicago style deep dish and thin crust pizzas, a comprehensive wine and beer list and an uncomplicated salad menu. In addition to a build-your-own pizza option, diners can choose from the restaurant’s most popular combos. Favorites include, well, the Favorite (pepperoni, mushroom, and black olives) and the Californian (whole-wheat crust, low fat mozzarella cheese, red onions, and spinach). To see the whole menu, or for more info, check out their website.
With its first two locations averaging 4 stars out of over 600 reviews on Yelp (Paxti’s in Hayes Valley), an “excellent” rating from Zagat, and words such as “divine,” “authentic,” and “best pizza in SF” as describers on Best of CitySearch, Paxti’s is sure to be a hit. And not only does Paxti's offer great food, but it's also a great cause: they support a number of diverse causes: Second Harvest Food Bank, Dianne Feinstein Elementry, R.O.C.K. SF, Chinese American International School, and GeoKids, to name a few.
GetWize: Don’t have time to sit down and enjoy Paxti’s pizza? No problem. Swing by and order the signature half-baked pizza to go. All you need is an oven at home and just a few minutes of patience until you’re rewarded with delicious pizza.
