Canadian outfit Metric popped out another do-gooder this April called Fantasies. The singles are gaining speed, being played on the radio (yes, it still exists), and getting people into some hardcore car dancing. Emily Haines’ voice is as sweet and sour as she looks (boys, don’t wear your pants too tight when you go and see her sing). And if you are a lady looking for some French hottie bodies with attitude, let Phoenix soar over you with it’s poppy medley of mathy guitar rock, synths, sweet harmonies and quartet of sweet-faced boys. Having just released Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and getting a lot of airplay for its single, “1901,” Phoenix is ready to rock off those pants you just put on.
Get Wize: Tickets start at $35. The show is on Wednesday, Sept 16, 7:30 p.m. at the Greek Theater in L.A.’s Griffith Park, 2700 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, 90027.
