Brooklyn Bowl is more than just a place for people who want to chuck large colorful polyurethane balls down a wooden lane at inanimate white pins all night long. Brooklyn Bowl is also an amazing place to chill with your closest pals in a unique party-like atmosphere--whether you're bowling, enjoying good food and drinks, or vibing to one of its many live performances, or, of course, all of the above.
Speaking of live acts, you can catch some of the hottest up-and-coming bands and talented DJs for free, or close to it, on almost a nightly basis.
One of Brooklyn Bowl's hottest musical acts to ever to take up residency at the Williamsburg establishment is Ahmir Thompson, a.k.a. Questlove, Quest, or ?UESTLOVE. Whatever funky moniker he chooses, the drummer and co-founder of the highly acclaimed hip-hop band The Roots tore up the dance floor on August 12th with eclectic DJ sets that featured a blend of hip-hop, house, 80's music, rare tracks and a little bit of everything in between.
If you missed his August 12th show, don't fret. ?UESTLOVE will be returning to Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday, September 2nd, and every Thursday thereafter for the month to rock the ugly shirts off the unsuspecting bowlers.
GetWize: Doors open up at 10PM, and show starts at 11PM. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 on the night of the performance. For more information on upcoming shows or to order tickets, log onto BrooklynBowl.com.
