Tucked behind the Vermont Restaurant in the hip Los Feliz neighborhood, Rockwell is nestled around a majestic 30-foot coral tree shrouded in lanterns (the tree is supposed to bloom come winter). The restaurant, which is 6,000 square feet, is sprawled over 3 floors, 2 of which are outdoors. The drinks are delicious and strong, such as the perfectly sweet Lovely Pear cocktail. The menu features upscale comfort food such as the oh-so-good it melts in your mouth Grilled Cheese with Charred Tomato Bisque. The waiters are friendly, the patrons are attractive, and these are all reasons for you to go…tomorrow. Tend to your hunger and thirst at The Rockwell and take in the night air, because only in L.A. can you enjoy a cold cocktail, outside, in the thick of winter.

Get Wize: The Rockwell is located at 1714 N Vermont Ave., behind The Vermont Restaurant. Although Rockwell and Vermont share owners and walls, you must go around the building and enter Rockwell through the alley.
