This week, get in your partying before all those mandatory family events! Electro music duo Royksopp hits up the Regency Ballroom, The Juan MacLean comes to Mezzanine and the one and only Tiesto hits up Cow Palace.

Thursday, Nov. 19th

Royksopp @ Regency Center
Norwegian Electronic music duo Royksopp began experimenting with electronic music when they were schoolmates. They eventually met again years later and decided to come together to join Royksopp which is the Norwegian word for the puffball mushroom. Since their start, Royksopp has gained much of their popularity because of their graphic and experimental music ideas, especially "Remind Me" of which they won the 2002 MTV Music Award for best music video. Catch the duo that has had a big impact on the underground Norwegian electronic music scene, the Bergen Wave this Thursday at The Regency Center.

DRESSCODE @ Harry Denton's Starlight Room
Get groovy this Thursday night and head over to Harry Denton's Starlight when the guys from Habit will be throwing their monthly party DRESSCODE. This month, DRESSCODE brings in "That California Guy" techno DJ Jason Emsley. Since making his first connections with electronic music at the age of 16, Emsley has made as serious impact on America's resurgent techno scene and made a name for himself as a producer. Joining Jason, will be SF local and Auralism records co-founder Jason Short, known for bringing new sounds and fresh directions to techno. Catch Emsley, Short and DRESSCODE resident DJ's Bells & Whistles, who have been gaining much notoriety in SF, this Thursday night at 9pm. Nothing groovy to wear? don't worry there's no DRESSCODE.

Preconceived Notions @ the Blue Macaw
Head to the Blue Macaw this Thursday for Preconceived Notions - a Fall/Winter Fashion, Art & Music Mashitup! Come by to enjoy live bands like Stimie, Dynamic and more ranging from funk, soul and upbeat instrumentals. Put a little Dubstep and Drum and Bass in your evening with DJ Troma and more. Look on as local artists Robert Harris and Ian Ross perform a live painting. Need some new duds for winter? 22Tykoon, F.A.Z.E. apparel, Homeygrown.org, & Atire Cothing will be putting on a fashion show with merchant groups. This is one event, you don't want to miss, grab your friends and bring your people, admission is $8.

Friday, Nov. 20th

The Juan Maclean @ Mezzanine
Before becoming one of the biggest names in the DFA Label, John MacLean was a member of the band Six Finger Satellite, after the breakup of the band, MacLean moved to New Hampshire and took a drastic lifestyle change. Eventually, using the name Juan MacLean, he began creating music again, and we are happy he did. Catch the Juan MacLean this Friday at Mezzanine and hear the sound that some describe as 70's experimental electronics with bits of early Euro-disco, electro, Detroit techno and Chicago house.

Plump DJs @ Mighty
Popular Dj and producer duo Plump DJs first record release was a 1999 double single "Plump Chunks/Electro Disco." Shortly after this release, the London DJs were approached by the widely known magazine, Mixmag to mix their February 2001 cover CD. Since, they have gone on to release numerous mix CDs, have featured collaborations with Gary Numan, Eddie Bo and Louise Robinson and are one of the few breakbeat acts to have broken in to more mainstream radio programs. Catch then when the take over Mighty this Friday night all starting at 10pm.

Head over to Supperclub this Friday night for San Francisco's newest Techno/House scene. In collaboration with Habit Productions, the first party will bring you a strong line-up with mixed talent from Holland and San Francisco. Enjoy sounds from Amsterdam DJ Boris Werner featuring minimal sounds and uplifting house and techno, SF's local's Alland Byallo and Nikita, Dubstep DJ, DJ Laura, and Habit's own DJs SF boys, Bells & Whistles. Add that to San Diego boys ISTATIC and 0(h)20's resident DJ Semora. Don't miss the first party of many that is sure to be an unforgettable experience with fire dancers and the Supperclub atmosphere we all love.

Wild Weekend @ Paradise Lounge
Head over to SOMA this weekend and go to the Paradise Lounge two nights in a row! This weekend the Paradise Lounge hosts "It's a Wild Weekend at Paradise Lounge!" on Friday and Saturday, starting at 10pm-late this. Enjoy two nights of 60's Soul and Garage & Proto Punk! Tiesto @ Cow Palace
He was the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympic Games, has had the number one Dutch album chart as well as on "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and has received a nomination for a Grammy Award in 2008. Since the age of 14 when Tiesto decided to dedicate more time to DJing and began gathering gigs from his high school friends for their parties, he has risen to be one of the most well known DJs and around the world. This Saturday, Tiesto Brings to Cow Palace, a production, that can only be done by Tiesto, and an energy that will keep you wanting more.

DJ Taj @ 1015 Folsom
San Francisco native and DJ since 1991, represents the essence of San Francisco. Bringing with him a unique mixing style and a passion and dedication to music, DJ Taj has played for seven continuous years at 1015 Folsom and has built a strong reputation for rocking the party. Catch him this Saturday night at 10pm at 1015 Folsom.

DJ Nu Mark @ Mighty
DJ Nu-Mark began DJing as a teenager in LA and gained recognition for his technical skills and performance style. Known for acquiring a collection of over 35,000 records, he was one of the key figures in the late-90s DJ explosion and a member of the group Jarassic 5. Catch him this Saturday at Mighty, doors open at 9pm, with an open vodka/redbull bar from 9pm-10pm.

Wednesday, Nov. 25th

Mark Farina @ Ruby Skye
Start your holiday season off right at Ruby Skye with "Give Thanks with Mark Farina." Head over Wednesday night, and bring a new unwrapped toy or food donation and receive no cover charge.
