Banana Split Sundae heats things up this week with a live performance by Rye Rye; M.I.A.’s young, booty-dropping protégé and the first artist on MIA’s label, N.E.E.T. Rye Rye started out working with Blaqstarr, who DJs for M.I.A., which led to her involvement with the coolest electro-hop pushers around by the time she was sixteen years old. Now, at the ripe old age of eighteen, Rye Rye’s debut album is set for release in the near future and of course Diplo is on it, Count & Sinden, M.I.A. and Blaqstarr, too.
