San Diego's Street Scene Music Festival, one of the nation's longest running music festivals is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th. This year's lineup is Street Scene at its finest; Black Eyed Peas, M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Modest Mouse, The Dead Weather and Cake are among the more than 35 confirmed acts that will take to the streets of downtown San Diego from 4:00 p.m. to midnight each day of the festival. Although it's not as cheap as it was in Street Scene's first year - back in 1984 the mantra was "Five Hours, Five Bands, Five Bucks" - Street Scene 2009 is holding it down at a recession-friendly special price for two days of musical goodness.
