This week in SF there's a lot going down. Infected Mushroom is taking over the Regency Ballroom, A-Trak is back in town at The Independent and Paradise Lounge is throwing down for Ooo La La. Read on to see what else San Francisco has in store this week...
A-Trak @ The Independent
A-Trak has been making waves in the music industry for a long time now. At the tender age of fifteen he shocked the world by winning the DMC World DJ Championship. That was 1997. Fast forward twelve years and A-Trak is still in the lime light. He has moved away from the scratching that gave him is initial following on gone on to produce house music for hipsters. His newest venture called Duck Sauce is a collaboration with long time house producer Armand Van Helden. Expect a packed house of hipsters and house heads.
Andy Caldwell @ Vessel
It seems like OM Records is just about everywhere at the moment as they gear up for their big fifteenth year anniversary release. Andy Caldwell has been with the label that defined San Francisco house pretty much the whole time. Expect soulful tunes and master mixing.
Marcus Schulz @ Ruby Skye
One of the top jocks in the game (currently #8 in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 poll). Markus Schulz will be bringing with him a bag full of his signature dark, moody, melodic trance. Big beats will be blaring from the big Ruby Skye sound system and the packed house will be eating it up.

Pittsburgh Slim @ Infusion Lounge
Guess where Sied Chahrour (AKA Pittsburgh Slim) is from? This fast rising rapping success recently relocated to LA and is turning out youtube and myspace hits like they just ain’t no thing. Girls Kiss Girls, his first major success, has almost 4 million plays and his newest track My Bitch is Crazy is heating up as well. Think Asher Roth once he stops thinking about drinking and turns his focus to ladies. He lands at the posh and plush Infusion Lounge this weekend for a special performance. Expect booty shakin’ and Dom P.
Infected Mushroom @ The Regency
The Israeli psy-rock group (yes a combination of psy trance and rock) known as Infected Mushroom have played stadiums around the world. Original members Duvdev and Erez blew up on the global psy trance scene back in the late 90’s and redefined the genre by giving it a more main stream sound. In 2004, the duo took that another step further and added a percussionist and guitar. The result is full on heavy metal dance music. Expect amped up Israelis and cutting edge sound.

The Very Best @ Mighty
How’s this for praise? These guys put out what Pitchfork called "just about the most listenable and flat-out enjoyable record of the year". The Very Best is a collaboration between European production team Radioclit and Malawian-born, London-based singer Esau Mwamwaya and they will be performing their unique world beat, hipster mash up, all out dance tunes to the happy crowd at Mighty that make it out to the show. Expect the unexpected.

Marcel Woods @ 1015 Folsom
Dutch DJ/Producer Marcel Woods has been coming up fast on the scene. In less than two years, he has managed to appear on the main stages of many major dance festivals, such as Sensations Black, Dance Valley, Trance Energy, Innercity , Antwerp is Burning and Defqon 1 and his produced tracks are supported by the A listers like Tiesto, Ferry, PVD and Armin. Clearly, Marcel's tough 'TechTrance' appeals to a very wide audience. Exclusive SF appearance.

The Show w/ Lee Coombs @ The End Up
Sense SF, Nicole Presents & The Endup bring you a camp fundraiser for the always epic Opulent Temple. Special guest Lee Coombs is joined by Opulent Temple and The Show residents, Syd Gris, Dutch, Dex Stakker, Ben Seagren & Dean Samaras and whole lot more. This is a 14 hour long party that goes from 10pm (on the 17th)-12noon the next day so expect tweakers by the speakers (in a good way of course!).
Ooh La La @ Paradise Lounge
Ooh La La! returns this week to Paradise Lounge featuring two floors of 60's and French music to keep you dancing 'til 4:00 a.m.! DJs Sergio Iglesias, Howie Pyro and many more will be rocking the place and for only a $5 cover before 11pm, it's a real recession buster too.
Bonobo @ Mighty
It’s a weekend of eclectic worldly music for Mighty and Blasthaus. Bonobo, who is well known as a dj/producer for his complex and layered sound, will be performing live with his band. The band plays live renditions of studio material, with a singer, keyboardist, guitarist, saxophonist, string section, Electronics, and drummer. Expect Thievory Corporation style intelligent electronica.
