On March 3rd, the dates for the second annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival were announced. This year’s 3-day event will be held from August 28th to August 30th, 2009 in Golden Gate Park. Remember how amazing (possibly life-altering) it was to see Radiohead play their set against the backdrop of San Francisco’s signature foggy night? This year’s event will not disappoint those of you who witnessed the glory of last year’s line-up. Outside Lands will continue to bring a selection of world-class music and activities as a tribute to the culture of the Bay Area and is poised to gain notoriety as one of the premier music events in the country.

With more music thanks to a longer Friday line-up and more local restaurants and wineries participating in providing ‘the goods’ you will not want to miss this year’s event. Outside Lands 2009 represents the beginning of a five-year agreement with San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department and the City of San Francisco making this year’s event the second of many Outside Lands festivals to come. A large portion of each ticket sold for the festival will directly benefit San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department which manages over 200 parks, playgrounds and open spaces throughout the city.
