Sometimes, getting music fans to mingle and play nice is like trying to get the middle school boys to dance with the girls.  It just ain't gonna happen.  But as Marty McFly once proved, things can always change.  

On Tuesday the 30th, Le Poisson Rouge is throwing its 1st Social-ism party.  It's a good time to leave your pretensions at home, 'cause  they promise to spin everything "from Drake to Dilla, Talking Heads to Radiohead, Michael Jackson to Louie Vega" as well as host a guest DJ.  And a horn player.  So get ready for that. 

The party's free before 11pm and $5 students/$10 general public. Make sure to bring a camera or an iPhone to document the debauchery, because you'll want to have evidence of your drunken dancing to upload to the blog site created specifically for the party.

GetWize: Get to the venue early to nosh on some of their tasty concoctions. From truffled mac & cheese to spicy tuna rolls to Tequila Tiramisu - this place really will satisfy whatever munchies may be brewing. And the cocktail carafes (jug of mojitos anyone?) ain't bad either.
