Pre-St. Patricks Day Block Party Bash @ Taverna Aventine
Kick the weekend off early in the FiDi with Aventine's 4th annual St. Patty's Day block party. They'll be pulling out all the stops with DJs, live music, four bars serving up all kinds of Irish swill, and food trucks. Bonus: the first 500 people to RSVP get a free beer.
LepreCon - 6th Annual St. Patrick's Bar Crawl
Finish your Friday off with an epic bar crawl. Switching up locations every half hour, hop your green self from Gold Dust Lounge to Diva's and all around the Tenderloin's favorite dives.

St. Patrick's Day Festival & Parade
Even if the fun police have banned alcohol at this year's St Patty's parade, this 161st annual festival is still worth a visit. Showcasing Irish culture and entertainment, there will be plenty of live performances, food & craft vendors, a petting zoo, and more. The parade kicks off at 11:30am on the corner of 2nd and Market.
Irish Bank Block Party
Union Square gets rowdy at the Irish Bank with their annual block party. The festivities start up at an optimistic 9am with the block party kicking off at noon, featuring live Irish rock, reggae and DJs till midnight. The event's free if you get there before 3pm. $5 after.
O'Reilly's St. Patricks Day Block Party
O'Reilly's is at it again in North Beach with a 10 hour block party from 1pm till 11pm. Stop by early to dig into their traditional Irish brunch, or come by later for live Irish music and performances all day.
18 Hour St Patty's Day Dance Party @ Monarch
Monarchs going big this March 17th with not one but TWO St Patty's parties. Starting at 8am, come shake your shamrocks and catch the Ireland vs England rugby game on the big screen, live music, Irish DJs, and Guinness stew. Then stick around after 9:30pm for the Green Rhino's Dusty Rhino Fundraiser. They'll be pumping out dance jams till 2am.
Got Lucky St. Patrick's Day Bash @ Roe
Roe's annual Got Luck St. Patrick's Day Bash is back this year for another night of music, dancing and Irish booze. DJ Playboi will be spinnin' on the decks and Roe's bar will be featuring $3 Jameson shots till 11pm and $150 VIP Bottles for advance resrvations. If nothing else, come by for the complimentary St. Patrick's celebration beads!
Irish Food and Drink Specials @ McTeague's Saloon
McTeague's Saloon on Polk Street is opening early for their St. Patrick's Day Celebration and it's definitely worth getting out of bed at the crack of dawn for this offer - McTeague's is giving away a free corn beef and hash breakfast with the purchase of any Guinness beer! Not only can you drink like an Irishman, you can eat like one too! Once you've got your fill of hearty food and booze, stick around for Irish music and entertainment throughout the day.
John Colins St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Head on down to Mayes Oyster House from 12-5 pm on St. Patrick's Day for a proper St. Patrick's Day celebration complete with live DJs, drink specials and Irish-themed fun. Raw oysters aren't your typical Irish fare, but we're always down for fresh seafood from one of SF's best restaurants.
Bootie SF's St. Paddy's Mashup Party
Whip your bootie into gear with this St. Patrick's Day themed mash-up party. The Hubba Hubba Revue will be performing a special Irish-themed burlesque show, while Irish DJs and hosts keep the party going strong. Free Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people through the door.
Sunday, March 18
Free St Patty's Bluegrass Concert
Work through that hangover as Upper Haight's Milk Bar gives St. Patrick's Day one last hoorah. They'll be decking out the venue with St. Patty's decorations and serving up green beers, specials on Bushmills whiskey, Bloody Mary's with fresh bacon, and $1 off drinks all day. To top it off, bluegrass bands will be strumming free tunes on the back stage.
