Stereophonics
Stereophonics Return To Singapore on 30th April

Following their raucously epic last show here on April 2008, Welsh alternative rock outfit, Stereophonics, will be making their eagerly anticipated return to our shores nearly two years to the day later on April 30th. Courtesy of LAMC, Stereophonics will be hitting open air confines of Fort Canning Park for a gig that promises to be another boisterous Britpop affair to remember. Made up of lead vocalist and guitarist Kelly Jones, bassist and backing vocalist Richard Jones, drummer Javier Weyler, guitarist, backing vocalist Adam Zindani and touring member Tony Kirkham on keyboards, these alt-darlings are universally known as a fantastically fun live act (anyone who saw them here two years ago will gladly testify to this).

After seven brilliantly crafted albums, dozens of hit singles and headlining stints at many illustrious music festivals such as Reading and Leeds in 2000, Glastonbury in 2002, V festival in 2002 and the Isle of Wight in 2004 and 2009, these boys have practically conquered the world. Dakota off 2005s wildly successful Language. Sex. Violence. Other? has by now become a rock anthem, one of those beguiling tracks that gets more infectious, not less, with every listen. The last two years have been especially prolific for the band. They released a Greatest Hits Album titled A Decade in the Sun in 2008 and their latest album, Keep Calm and Carry On, in 2009 to much critical acclaim. If you didnt manage to catch them here the last time, or even if you did, you still have to head down to Fort Canning on April 30th; because Stereophonic live is an experience that should be mandatory.

GetWize: Tickets range between Early Bird: $88 (till March 31), Standard: $98 (April 1 - 29) and $110 (Show day) and are available now from Sistic. In addition, Placebo ticket buyers receive $10 off Stereophonics Early Bird tickets (Discount applicable till March 31).
