What would you do if you had 17 years worth of reputation as one of the worlds most innovative DJs with an unwavering dedication to freshness and had just finished promoting the unequaled coolness of your label with a cross country tour on a mobile studio bus you used to record an EP of dope new tracks? If you're musical legend Steve Lawler, the answer is simple: you do it again. Starting in October, Lawler will be behind the decks and back on the road with Jimmy Hill to bring the American people 12 adrenaline-infused nights of the signature ViVA MUSiC sound that will leave them questioning the meaning of the universe while they frantically search for the rest of Lawler's catalog the next morning. If there's anything that could pull people out of the recession-depression slump (other than a crop of money trees springing up in their backyards) it is this tour.

If for some reason your car explodes or you get the chance to become an astronaut and you can't go to any of the shows (note that these are the only excuses that will even come close to being accepted) you can still get a taste of it's epic-ness by picking up the tracks Lawler recorded on last years tour. And, as if this birthday cake of an album wasn't sweet enough already, it's covered in rainbow sprinkles in the form of amazing remixifications by Radio Slave, David K and Tolga Fiden, making for one deviously delicious set of songs. The tour is starting in Florida and hitting all the major US cities along the way, like New York, Boston, LA, SF, and Canada.

more than one show is definately worth it's weight in mixtapes, because word on the street is that Lawler has a secret line up of guest DJs to join him behind the booth. Full details and more at Viva Music on Myspace
