They had us interested when we saw alcohol would be involved in the Summer TASTE series every first Wednesday of the month. On July 1st, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., LearnAboutWine will teach guests about Rose and Rhone wine varieties with some music and food to round out the lesson. Proceeds help support TJ Martel Foundation, which raises money and awareness for Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Twelve tables of the good stuff from wineries like L’Aventure, Clos Solene, Zaca Mesa and Highflyer Wines will be set up on the grass in the center of the plaza, with food provided by Wood Ranch BBQ.
GetWize: The wine tasting deal costs $45 in advance or $60 at the door, but for TASTE members the cost drops to $39. Purchase tickets from Learnaboutwine.com for the July 1st event, though Goldstar has them for $27.50. Heads up, August 5th, Summer-TASTE will serve “No Oak–Red and White educated in Stainless” and Sept 2nd, the event is themed “Full Throttle and Voluptuous–Big wines for important times.”
