In it's second year, the Sunset Strip Music Festival will feature six music venues each with their own diverse music lineups. This year the event will take place on September 10-12 and like last year it will include a street festival that will shut down Sunset between Doheny Drive to San Vicente Boulevard on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 – 9 p.m. Mark your traffic calendars because this is the first time Sunset will be shut down for a music event, allowing for more outdoor stages and more reasons to party on the strip.

A tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will kick off the three-day festival and will honor icons who have made an impact on the legacy of the strip. When Ozzy first toured with Black Sabbath in 1970, the band performed a legendary five-night stand at Whisky A Go-Go. For four decades Ozzy never ceases to surprise us, whether it be his drug-induced antics on stage or the insane portrayal of his household on his own reality show; Ozzy is a true legend. His musical genius has earned him a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning career and it seems fitting he be paid tribute on the Sunset Strip where he first toured with Black Sabbath so long ago.

The six venues hosting music lineups include Cat Club, House of Blues, Key Club, The Roxy Theatre, Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go. Saturday will feature a daytime street fest with outdoor stage performances before the clubs open up for night performances. The Mondrian Hotel will also host a VIP cocktail event on Saturday.

Stay tuned for more details about the festival including an artist lineup and ticket information.
