VANDALISM BIOGRAPHY:
Australia’s leading electro/dance outfit Vandalism is currently enjoying success as one the most sought-after electro artists in the world. They have been touring across the globe at festivals and clubs with their ‘in-yer-face’ performances, featuring Andy Van & Kam Denny tearing up the decks and vocalist Cassie busting out Vandalism choons live. With the increasing demand for their distinctive sound spreading even further, the trio are returning for 2 global tours July & August ’08.
Andy Van has been one of Australia’s leading DJs for well over a decade and has spun at many of countries biggest clubs & parties including Summadayze, Gatecrasher, One Love, Kink, Family & Home as well as spinning out to hundreds of thousands more across the globe…including Love Parade (UK), Creamfields, Manumission and Ministry UK to name a few. When not wreaking turntable havoc, Van’s swung a bat through the record industry with his internationally-renowned Vicious label, home to artists such as Dirty South, The Potbelleez, mrTimothy, Mind Electric & many more. He’s also delivered a constant flow of mix CDs (including three MOS Summer Annuals) and after all that he’s achieved massive success with his producers hat on….incl 2 million sales of singles & albums and #1 UK & Australia chart placements as one-half of household invaders Madison Avenue.
Kam Denny’s productions have remained a hurricane force in clubs across the globe since his first release back in ‘96. With fourteen years of deck abuse, his current DJ reputation has been well earned! In ’02, under the guise of 16th Element, he unleashed the double A-side knockout Warp/Well Strung, landing him on just about every buzz chart across the globe. Soon licensed to Loaded (UK) and Subliminal (US), Warp left a devastating impression and gained kudos from heavyweights Roger Sanchez, Timo Maas, Eric Morillo and Pete Tong. With a massive swag of remixes and co-projects, including X-Press 2, TV Rock and Rogue Traders, Kam has remained a constant provider of the tuff club cut. His outings are well documented with continuing visits to local and international club charts. DJing has taken Kam from one end of the country to the other and in hometown Melbourne he has held residencies at some of Melbourne’s best clubs, including Q Bar, Seven and GPO.
Cassie Van is no stranger to the music scene having been a professional singer and dancer since a young age & spent many years singing with an all-girl 80’s band which helped develop her sound for Vandalism. She started song writing a few years before teaming up with Kam and Andy to become the front woman of Vandalism and has never looked back.
