From the minds of the people that brought you New York’s Lotus and L.A.’s Sunset Room, comes the V Bar Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas’ premium hotel & casino The Venetian.
I’ve always said there are two kinds of Vegas: The James Bond Vegas, where sex appeal and martinis are in heavy abundance; And the Cousin Eddy Vegas, where inhibitions are thrown out the window along with the sleeves of your t-shirt. The V Bar definitely falls under the Bond category. (As do most establishments located in The Venetian.)
Entering its 9th year of existence, the V Bar survives by catering to the before and after club crowd who need to work themselves up or calm themselves down from the fast-paced Tao located just upstairs. The ever-growing number of Ultra Lounges in Las Vegas indicates the influence V Bar has had on this town over the years.
The relaxed atmosphere and sexy décor will get you in the mood for some brave conversation with the fairer sex, and let’s face it guys, we need all the help we can get in this town.
No cover, no line to wait in, and technically no dress code, but if you want to keep up with the sex appeal, I suggest you take a few minutes to look presentable.
If you fancy yourself a martini expert (which I don’t) be sure to try the martinis. The guy next to me said they are the best in town. He said his name was Bond something and mumbled some nonsense about shaken not stirred. He was wearing a tux, so I would trust him if I were you.
