Virgin Galactic Launches Into Space With Above and Beyond

Start making plans for things like moon walks (the real thing) and partying at the mega clubs on Mars because Virgin Galactic is here. Today, Richard Branson unveiled SpaceShipTwo to a crowd of about 800 very important people in the Mojave desert while none other than UK's super DJ's Above And Beyond played their club anthem “Buzz,” which samples Buzz Aldrin's original moon-landing dialogue.

As you might expect, the affair was a bit surreal and totally over the top. The music was straight up club music, there was a giant ice bar hosted by Absolut and Swedish IceHotel, and all the guests were protected from the desert cold by designer space jackets supplied by PUMA. Finally, to close off the celebrations, all the guests were given the opportunity to view the stunning night skies using specialist telescopes supplied by Ron Dantowitz of the Clay Observatory, whose unique tracking cameras followed SpaceShipOne into space during the epic flights of 2004.

This officially makes Virgin the coolest airline in the biz and it makes Above And Beyond the biggest act in the Galaxy. Do yourself a favor and check out www.virgingalactic.com and maybe even book your $200,000 flight while you are at.

MW106 will be on Mars, mark our words!
