The McCarren Park Pool Parties that put the venue at the forefront of the Brooklyn rock scene have a new home on the Williamsburg waterfront this summer due to the pool’s long overdue renovations schedule. This year post-punk kids Mission of Burma, Austin rockers ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, mixologist Girl Talk and indie darlings Grizzly Bear will all play the Williamsburg Waterfront on Sundays this year. The concerts are totally FREE and there's room for 6,000 - get there early to avoid the rush of people who love free stuff 'cause that's, well...everyone.
GetWize: Check out the concert lineup that’s been announced thus far on freewilliamsburg.com. To get to the waterfront take the L train to Bedford Avenue. Exit at the front of the train, putting you on the corner of Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street. Walk west (towards the river) for three blocks on North 7th Street. Take a right on Kent Avenue and the entrance will be on your left between North 8th and North 9th Streets.
