Yuris Night is a celebration that takes place in over 120 cities worldwide and celebrates Yuri Gagarin, the first person ever to go into space on April 12th, 1961. Lucky for us, the largest Yuri's Night Celebration will be held right here in the Bay Area at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View. Yuri's Night Bay Area kicks off on April 9th with a completely free eduction day where elementary, high school and college students get the chance to learn about art, space, and technology for free. Day two is all about the music, with a full music festival. Just announced, the Yuri's Night line up brings in some of the biggest names in music. Primus bassist, Les Claypool will be bringing his funky creative playing style to the NASA center. Joining Claypool is Chi Town native Common, American Blues-Rock duo The Black Keys, Crunk group The Glitch Mob, and rock, funk, hip-hop group, N.E.R.D. Joining these headliners will be DJ's from all around the world including DJ Q-Bert, Dyloot and more! GetWize: The Yuri's Night Music Festival takes place on April 10th, all starting at noon, and going until midnight.
